Save money and gas by creating a hybrid vehicle

Can you really do it? Is it true that you can build a car in your own garage that runs solely on hydraulic power? Yes it is. After all, we’ve had steam engines for at least a couple of centuries. But would building a steam car be cheap, reasonably doable by someone of average skill, or fast? No, it would not pass that set of criteria.

The greatness of America comes from the fact that if we don’t like the answer, we will change the question. So let’s do that.

Can we build a water/gasoline hybrid vehicle in our garage? Now that my friend, it’s something we can do.

Will it be cheap? It depends on your definition of “cheap”. My definition includes the amount of time my investment in plans/information, materials, and construction time pays off in fuel cost savings. I figure once the cost is offset, it’s like getting a tax-free raise. Between fuel costs rising every day, the economy and tax collectors bite; That is a real benefit.

How can water power a car if not with steam? The process known as electrolysis separates water into basic components. One component created is HHO or “Browns Gas”. This gas has similar properties to acetylene and burns hot enough to melt steel.

It is Browns gasoline that is metered into a car’s fuel system and greatly increases gas mileage. And, the only escape is water. No greenhouse gases. No global warming. No carbon footprint. Just water.

In a gas/water hybrid car, the next benefit is that the car will run cooler and reduce engine wear. Since you’ll use less gasoline, you’ll also experience fewer toxic emissions. I guess that’s what we’d call Saving the Planet, one car at a time, of course.
