Symptoms of uterine cancer

Endometrial cancer or uterine cancer is caused by the growth of cancer cells directly in the lining of the uterus. Most women mistake vaginal bleeding for menopause. This error is quite common.

We will look at some symptoms that may or may not indicate uterine cancer. They can also be due to other diseases. To confirm if any of these symptoms actually lead to uterine cancer, you should see a doctor to confirm it.

Some of the symptoms that have been observed in patients with uterine cancer:

* Pain in the pelvic region.

* Painful urination.

* Bleeding from the vaginal region.

* Difficulty urinating.

* Discharge from the vagina.

* Feeling of pain during sexual intercourse.

Studies have shown that bleeding from the vagina is the most common type of symptom that has been observed. Initially, there may be no bleeding, more of a discharge. This will turn into bleeding later.

Types that are more prone to uterine cancer:

* Women 50 years of age or older.

* Endometrial hyperplasia.

* Women who have an increase in their hormones. These may be women who have fewer children, who have had ovarian tumors, or have undergone estrogen replacement therapy.

Treatment is not the same for all women. There are many factors to take into account. Factors such as age, cancer progression, etc. you have to consider this.

Treatment is one or a combination of these: surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

In the early stages, if the spread of the cancer is not that advanced, doctors will try to completely remove the cancer cells from the woman’s uterus. If the disease has progressed, surgery is usually done along with chemotherapy or radiation therapy. This helps stop cancer cells from growing in other parts of the body.

The good thing about uterine cancer is that if it is caught early, there is a good chance of being completely cured. Patients are also advised to participate in trials which can sometimes give very good results.

There are also alternative treatments for uterine cancer:

* Follow special types of diets.

* Acupuncture.

* Meditating also helps.

* Taking sufficient amount of vitamins.

* Visualization and spiritual healing.

There are many recorded cases in which women have felt that alternative treatments have helped them tremendously. Mix and match is not recommended. It is always best to stick to a single plan of action: go the traditional or alternative path, but not both.
