Pet-friendly hotels where pets stay FREE

Not all hotels and accommodations that accept pets are the same. Pet policies vary widely between hotels and accommodations. Some hotels only allow dogs; some only allow small animals under 25 pounds, some have a maximum of 2 pets, and almost all charge a fee, ranging from $ 10 per night to a non-refundable deposit of more than $ 100 (aka pet fee) .

However, there are some prominent pet-friendly hotel chains that allow your four-legged friend to stay for free.

Motel 6

This budget-conscious hotel chain was one of the first chains to allow pets. Conveniently located along major highways, Motel 6 is a favorite with travelers looking to stay on their travel route. All Motel 6 properties allow well-behaved pets and service animals (unless they pose a safety risk or are prohibited by law). And the best part is, they stay free!

Red Roof Posadas

This hotel chain does a great job of welcoming their four-legged friend (they even have a Facebook page dedicated to them called Red Roof Luvs Pets). All Red Roof Inns 345 locations are pet friendly and all allow pets to stay free. Their motto is Stay happy, pets stay free!

the fifth

Well-behaved pets are welcome at all but 4 of its more than 800 La Quinta locations. La Quinta is known for offering quality service and providing guests with many of the features and amenities offered at high-end hotels. Most importantly, La Quinta does not charge guests with pets for their stay. When booking online, be sure to mention that you are traveling with your pet in the “Special Requests” section. If you call to reserve, be sure to inform the reservation agent.

Kimpton Hotels

Kimpton Hotels is a pet-friendly boutique hotel chain that raises the bar when it comes to allowing pets. As part of their hosPETality program, in addition to pets staying free, any number of pets are welcome regardless of size, weight, type or breed. Each Kimpton hotel offers its own unique pet-friendly services and amenities. Be sure to check them out if you’re looking for serious pet pampering.

When staying at any of these pet-friendly hotels, you should always register your pet at check-in. Additionally, it is important to adhere to house rules and follow proper pet etiquette to ensure that you and your dog, cat, or other furry friend are welcome.
