The Ancient Book of Enoch: A Book Review
Ken Johnson is the author of “The Ancient Book of Enoch,” who is also a speaker speaking on a variety of topics related to Bible prophecy, ancient history, and the apostasy that will form in the Christian church in Rome at the end of the days. . Who was Enoch?
Enoch was the seventh generation from Adam, the first of men to be created. The Holy Scripture tells us that Enoch lived 365 years and then he was translated or caught up without dying, and although he was a sinner he pleased the Creator with his lifestyle. Enoch fathered Methuselah who lived 969 years and was Noah’s grandfather. He died seven days before the great flood and his name means death bearer.
Tribulation Period
The book of Enoch begins by addressing those in the Great Tribulation period. It has many prophecies about Noah’s great flood and the coming fiery judgments, and the two comings of the Messiah.
Time’s window
Enoch prophesies a time window in which the Second Coming will occur and states that there will be 23 Israeli Prime Ministers ruling in 58 terms from 1948 until the beginning of the tribulation.
genetic experiments
Enoch records the story of the angels who fell in the time of Jared, Enoch’s father. He witnesses his marriages with earthly women and his genetic experiments. His commentary includes a previously unknown chapter from the Dead Sea Scrolls that actually explains how they did the genetic manipulation of him.
Ancient Book of Zohar
The Jews mention Enoch in their book of Zohar which elaborates on the attributes of God; in Jonathan’s Targum he is called the first great scribe. Other writers credit him with inventing letters and writing books.
Enoch transmitted his writings
Enoch passed his books to Noah, who passed them on to Shem, who hid them in the city of Salem. He eventually found himself buried with 972 texts identified as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The texts involve religious, linguistic, and historical significance that includes the earliest known books written by man.
Conclusion
The book of Enoch has been quoted by church fathers and rabbis since the first century. His book talks about the signs of the end times, the history of the Nephilim, who are the Children of God, and the genetic experiments until 2012. It is really an interesting read due to the facts that it expands his visions of the prophecies of Enoch, who he was, and why he might be one of the two returning witnesses in the Great Tribulation.
