Why are married men looking for adventures?
Married men looking for adventure is a category that has been around almost as long as marriage. Why are so many married men looking for adventures? It didn’t take long for married men and married women to figure out what happens with passion when you’re with the same person night after night, doing the same thing night after night. I guess it was soon after the first batch of marriages that married people started looking for an extramarital affair with someone else who loved the marriage, but missed the passion.
Passion in a marriage represents much more than the sexual act itself.
An intimate encounter goes further with the person you love. Creates a psychological feeling of safety and connection. A physical and psychological rush because you are in a safe place where the most important thing is you.
It makes a man feel like THE MAN and in turn gives him a sense of ownership.
He is responsible for the safety and general well-being of his wife. She is the provider of this feeling and he will protect it. This is evident to everyone and his wife feels it and then she feels safe and content. However, that feeling that a man gets from his wife’s physical attention is not permanent.
It requires daily attention.
We can understand that managing a house and kids and PTA and blah blah blah also require a lot of time and attention. We understand this on the outside, but on the inside we are now last on the list and are still expected to feel the same way.
WE DO NOT!
We begin to feel the burden of caring for someone and begin to fantasize about one-night stands with unfaithful women. We daydream of no-strings-attached (NSA) sex and discreet hookups to give us back that feeling of being the man. We find ourselves looking at married personals online, at first just to make sure we’re not the only ones. We soon found out that there are more than four million users of various types of marriage websites.
Half of them are women.
This is the downline of a husband who loses the desire to give his wife his undivided attention. You now have two people who have lost that feeling of truly being the center of each other’s world. Now you have married women for affairs holding as many memberships as married men looking for affairs. Unfaithful wives looking for unfaithful husbands to find the feeling they already had. Once he was strong enough to walk them both down the aisle.
There are many other reasons, from a mid-life crisis to revenge, that can be attributed to infidelity. At the end of the day though married men looking for adventure are as old as marriage itself and seem to be here to stay.
