How to put up a stone throwing wall in a garden

Stone placement is a method of retaining soil on sloping ground or terrain. When working in gardens, the ground is prepared and then seeding is done before planting the vegetation. It is about placing pieces of broken or hard stones on the ground in different patterns. The joints are made with cement-sand mortar. For the placement of boulders, the ground must be at its angle of repose. This means slopes that do not exceed seventy degrees from ground level.

When placing stonework, the use of stone slates of different sizes is recommended. The thickness must be at least twenty-five millimeters. No bandage is required for this and is therefore cost effective. The remaining stones are broken into pieces. The ground is prepared by cutting the soil down to the required slope. It is then moistened and compacted with a tamping board. If the soil embankment is near a parking lot, cut a two foot flat surface and then grade.

Stone throwing begins at the bottom of the slope. First place a strip of poor concrete at the bottom. Place the stones on top of the concrete as a base. Pick up short horizontal pieces and long vertical pieces. Cut chalkboards about a foot square and place them in the center of the wall to give it a feature. Lie down to the top.

When laying stones, keep in mind that there are points to add vegetation between the joints. Add mortar to the joints with a trowel and make sure it fills. Remove excess mortar and highlight the keys. This follows the staggered joints. In arbitrary places no filling is done. This will allow the roots of the plants to get into the soil. For the most part, this vegetation will be creeping plants. At the top and at the ends it is covered with concrete as a stopper. Clean and cure the wall.
